There are many interesting places to visit in North Coast, New South Wales.

Port Stephens

The stunning sheltered bay of Port Stephens is also known as the Dolphin Capital of Australia, being home to more than 160 bottle-nose dolphins. Go on dolphin-watch cruises to get closer to the intelligent mammals. The 4WD sand dune tours are popular as well. You can go on a thrilling ride across the 32km-long beach.

Port Macquarie

Port Macquarie is another 2.5-hour drive north along the coast from Port Stephens. Visit the Koala Hospital, where over 200 injured koalas end up each year. You can walk around the open-air enclosures any time of the day, but you will be able to learn more during the tours at 3pm.

Nambucca Heads

Nambucca Heads lies at the centre of the North Coast region, famous for its surf beaches, fresh seafood and the colorful Vee Wall rock art gallery, where you can leave your mark!

Coffs Harbour Australia

Just 45 minutes away from Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour is home to the Big Banana, celebrating 45 years of big-kitsch iconography. It is now a theme park with waterslides, ice-skating and many other kid-oriented attractions. Coffs is popular with holidaying families and offers wonderful beaches, surfing, scuba and jet-ski hire. Go for a swim with the dolphins and seals at Pet Porpoise Pool.

Byron Bay New South Wales

Byron Bay, at Australia’s eastern most point, is world famous for exercises such as yoga, you can enjoy a wonderful massage or join in on the street performances as well as visit the hippie markets. Most stunning view will be its beautiful long beaches and the beautiful Cape Byron Lighthouse.

Tweed Heads

The Tweed Coast offers a wide range of overnight accommodation, with un-spoilt, un-crowded beaches that extend along the 37km oceanfront. Visit the Tropical Fruit World with over 500 fruit varieties and take a crab-catching cruise.
