Following on, is Tahuna, around 10 mins from the city itself. Tahunanui or Tahuna for short, is a fab place to stay, either in the many motels or at the camp ground, with the lovely swimming beach just opposite.

There is boutique motels and hotels, homestays and of late, very popular options include ‘bach’ rentals. These are holiday houses that can be rented off the landlords for a charge.
