Venerable Mount Airy Brand Gets A Halo?and a New Image

Once known as a honeymoon palace in the mountains, Mount Airy Casino Resort named The Halo Group, a marketing communications and branding agency, to launch a $ 5 million advertising campaign introducing the resort as the best place to escape in The Poconos.
“Mount Airy is re-emerging as a leading vacation destination in The Poconos,” said George Toth, CEO of Mount Airy. “Now, our new table games, coupled with a high end hotel and spa, outdoor sports, shopping, and fine dining, will entice new generations to The Poconos. We’re counting on The Halo Group to make it happen for us.”
A newly built, $ 412 million, 188-room hotel and casino opened in 2007 on the site of the old Mount Airy Lodge, once the Poconos’ largest destination. The latest refinement at the new Mount Airy Casino Resort is the addition of table games, which the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is expected to approve by Summer 2010.
