A major stop on the stage route between San Antonio and San Diego is the Presidio – oldest part of town where the Museum of Art is located.

University of Arizona which is known for her Center of Creative Photography and Flandreau Science Center and Planetarium is located at the north part of Tucson.

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

One of the major attractions on the east of town is Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum – a combination zoo, aquarium and botanical garden with everything from indigenous plants to mountain lions.

International Wildlife Museum

International Wildlife Museum is built to look like a fort in the Sahara Desert and home to nearly 300 mammals and birds from around the world.

Old Tucson Studio

An artificial Western town that was created for the movie “Arizona” in 1939. Today, Old Tucson Studio is a family fun park offering stagecoach rides and live gunfights. It has been the setting for hundreds of films and television shows and remains a working studio.

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is filled with the unusual plant whose pinkish white flowers blossom in early May.

Casa Grande Ruins National Monument

This national monument is the remains of a mysterious four-storey structure built by the long-defunct Hohokam Indians in the early 14th century.

Other Attractions

You may also want to stop at some other interesting attractions like Arizona State Museum, Botanical Gardens. They are both in the north part of Tucson.
